How far do you travel?
Taylormade Acoustic Duo are based in Daventry, Northamptonshire. However, we travel across the UK and would be happy to travel further abroad if you wish, we would only ask you to cover our travel expenses and accommodation if required. Please contact us and we can have a chat about your ideas for your big day.
Can you learn a song for our ceremony or first dance?
Yes! We are very happy to learn a special song for you as the Acoustic Duo or Trio (free of charge) and perform this during your wedding ceremony or as a beautiful live performance of your first dance. As your friends and family are gathered around the dancefloor this is always such a beautiful moment and to have your special song performed live brings the spark that only live music could bring.
Can we have a recording of our aisle walk and/or first dance?
Couples often ask whether Taylormade can record their first dance song or bridal entrance track and the answer is a big YES!
Whether recorded before your wedding so you can practice your first dance moves and rehearse the timing of the bridal entrance with your bridesmaids or after your wedding as a beautiful keepsake of your special day, our recordings are guaranteed to evoke those romantic wedding day memories for years to come.
You could even add the recording to your gift registry for friends and family to purchase as a unique wedding gift or as a romantic gift for a wedding anniversary, a birthday, Valentine’s Day, or as a thoughtful Christmas present. Please take a look at our professional recordings page if you would like further info.
Are Taylormade full-time, professional wedding musicians?
Yes! We are very proud to say that not only is music our passion, but our full-time occupation too. This ensures we can devote the time required to perfect our performance and assure you of professional musicianship.
We offer a professional service from start to finish. We always arrive in plenty of time to set up and conduct a full sound check to ensure the best quality sound for the room (every venue is differen and will set up discreetly, liaising with the venue to allow you to get on with enjoying your day.
Can you play at the church and then also at the wedding reception venue?
Yes! We are often asked to play songs at the Wedding Ceremony and then at the reception venue. Our Live Wedding Music Packages are built around your entire wedding day, however, please bear in mind that we require time to set our equipment up and down at each venue.
Do Taylormade Acoustic Duo use backing tracks?
Absolutely not! We pride ourselves on being completely live - as live music should be! All of our demos are recorded exactly as you would hear us live, with no extra vocals, studio tricks or added guitar parts. Not every wedding band can say this!
How long do you need to set up?
Taylormade Acoustic Duo/Trio needs 30 - 45 minutes from the time of our arrival to being ready to go. This time is used to set up all of our equipment and conduct a full sound check to get the absolute best quality for your venue. We will then get changed, warm up vocals and bodies, and get ‘in the zone’ for our performance.
Taylormade 4/5 Piece Live Band needs an hour and a half from the time of our arrival to being ready to go. This time is used to set up all of our equipment and lighting and to conduct a full sound check to get the absolute best quality for your venue. Once the soundcheck is completed we will leave some background music on to build the atmosphere and will leave the stage area to get changed, warm up vocals and bodies, and get ‘in the zone’ for our performance.
Please understand that the above time is absolutely essential so we can give you the very best performances.
Help! My chosen venue isn't suitable for the band to set up in the evening after the wedding breakfast! Can you set up earlier?
Don't worry! If you would like us to arrive earlier than the above-mentioned timings for a Taylormade performance, then we can offer an 'Early Set-Up Service', charged hourly to cover our time. This is not necessary at 99% of the weddings or events we perform at, however, please ask us for full details if this is required and we can work this out.
Do you require a changing room?
Taylormade Live Band will require a private area to get changed in, complete our warm-up exercises and relax during our breaks. This can be a conference room, hotel bedroom, or another private area. Please let your venue know as soon as possible so they can make arrangements, thank you.
How long a break does the band require between sets?
We recommend having a relatively short break between the Live Band sets, approximately 45 minutes, to keep the evening flowing and everyone on the dance floor.
When should we plan the evening food?
We recommend having the evening buffet between the Live Band sets as otherwise, guests may leave the dance floor to queue for food, or much more likely they will stay on the dancefloor and all of your lovely food may go to waste.
What time do Taylormade Live Band finish their sets?
Taylormade Live Band need at least an hour to set down. Therefore, the latest the last set should finish is 11.15pm and we will continue the night with the DJ until 12.00am. We can extend the timings of both the Live Band and DJ by request though, so please let us know at the time of booking and we can give you an exact quote.
